Testimonials

  • I started practicing yoga about 5 years ago. I attended 4 workshops Monika taught in Ankara. I was quite inexperienced when I participated in the first class. Regardless of the skill levels of the participants, Monika could engage all the group actively in the course. She combines meticulousness with humorousness while teaching. Her dynamic teaching style and in-depth knowledge of the topic she presents helps you to learn, to practice and to have fun all at the same time. She loves to give individualized care to each and every participant. I particularly like the anatomy part of the courses. It helps me to combine the structural knowledge with function and to better visualize the posture. With all the props available and the variations of the posture covered, you and her work together to find a way to adapt that very posture to your personal anatomy/limitation/nature. She attaches importance to individual differences and lets everyone perfection things according to his/her needs. As you feel very special and satisfied thanks to the individualized care you get, this contributes to the harmony in the group. I am very happy to have known Monika and I believe we will continue seeing each other in the years to come

  • I recently attended the first part of the 350 hour teacher training course with emphasis on yoga therapy. This was held over two weeks at Kefalos in Kos, in a large villa where we stayed, practised and studied. Teaching was a mixture of practical work (therapeutic and also to advance our own practise), informal lectures and discussions. A large range of subjects were covered including anatomy, yoga to assist different health challenges, yoga for different stages of life and Ayurveda. Monika and the visiting teachers were very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of the individuals. The whole experience was interesting, informative and enjoyable. I’m very much looking forward to the second part of the course. Margaret Rouxel, Scottland

  • Starting to practice Yoga at age 45 is a challenge, but my prior experience with other physical exercises helped me to cope with the physical aspects of practices. I am lucky to have the chance of practicing with a lot of experienced and qualified yoga instructors and learning invaluable insights from each of them. When I first attended Monika’s workshops, I immediately felt the difference she made in class with her compassion with a nice touch of sense of humor that created a friendly and enjoyable environment. Her ability of controlling students with great care regardless of circumstances was admirable. Later, I attended her teachers’ training program “Aspects of Yoga” a 200-hour certificate program, which she generously extended outside the class hours. I believe that I learned the true meaning of yoga with her as she covered all aspects of yoga – physical, spiritual, mental – in a perfect balance, her approach to yoga inspired me to explore the ways toward integrity. Her knowledge of anatomy of asanas made her instructions perfectly understandable and variations of the postures easy, so that students could adjust to their own levels without harming themselves. Learning yoga from Monika is a privilege. I feel lucky for knowing and being friend with her. Thank you Monika

  • Monika is an excellent yoga teacher. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the classes with her. Her Yoga Teacher Training programme was wonderful. I consider myself very lucky to have Monika as my teacher. I was so satisfied with the caring and discipline she offered and I loved her ability to create a safe, fun environment for her students. She maintains a perfect relationship between teacher and student. She teaches her students proper form and alignment so they can safely continue their Yoga practice for years to come. Monika has given me a lot of inspiration and I love the style of her teaching. I regularly go to her for advice and inspiration in my own teaching. I try not to miss out her yoga workshops. I have a great respect and love for her as a teacher and a very nice person.
