Most of us sit all day long on chairs, bending and slouching forward, looking down into tablets and cell phone displays. Over time, holding these abnormal postures results in a host of dysfunctions, especially neck pain.
This is a great opportunity to learn as both a student and as a teacher how to practice yoga and find relief when suffering from back, shoulder and neck pain.
IN THIS TRAINING YOU WILL LEARN
To teach students with back issues knowledgeably and effectively
To observe and to adapt according to individual needs
To use props and wall ropes skillfully
To apply restorative yoga properly
To effectively apply anatomy and physiological principles
To recognize and treat common spinal symptoms
To sequence and outline a class and session
INTENSIVE WEEKEND I: LOWER BACK AND PELVIS 18 HOURS
Focus is on general lower back pain, twisted pelvis, sciatica, hyper-lordosis (swayback), herniation, anatomy of movement of the pelvic girdle, alignment work, restorative yoga applied to alleviate pain, relaxation techniques and more
INTENSIVE WEEKEND II: UPPER BACK, NECK AND SHOULDERS 18 HOURS
Focus is on posture work, hyper-kyphosis(rounded upper back), general neck and shoulder issues, anatomy of movement of the shoulder girdle, alignment work, restorative yoga applied for neck issues, deep relaxation and breathing techniques
INTENSIVE WEEKEND III: SCOLIOSIS 18 HOURS
Focus is on posture work, spinal asymmetries, scoliosis, usage of wall ropes, alignment work, breathing as therapeutic tool
INTENSIVE WEEKEND IV: REVISION AND INTEGRATION 15 HOURS
Focus is on reinforcing and implementing the learned material, teaching, observation, groupwork

Friday: 5:30-8:30pm
Saturday: 9am-1pm & 2-6pm
Sunday: 9am-1pm & 2-5pm
PREREQUISITES FOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
You must have been practicing for at least two years or have completed or be in the process of getting your 200TT certification.
PREREQUISITES FOR NON-CERTIFICATION PARTICIPANT
You must have been practicing regularly for at least two years.
Last intensive weekend is not applicable.
